About

Hello there. Thanks for taking the time to drop by. Let me tell you a little about myself…

My eyes are green with a hint of hazel and though their corners are now beginning to advertise smile lines they have been fortunate enough to see God at work in many corners of the world and many corners of my heart. From a young age this heart was formed in a missional life as both my parents courageously lived out their faith in full time ministry all around me, the highs and lows, the wins and losses. Though life was often hand-to-mouth it was always God’s hand to our mouth and His presence was so evident in every moment of our lives that I seamlessly followed my parents example into the faith adventure with Him.

From adulthood I trained as an educator and spread my wings in ministry on the island of Java, Indonesia for three years. On return to Australia I retrained in youth ministry and became a full time Christian faith worker and Missional Bible teacher with the Christian Youth ministry Fusion Australia where I was involved in designing and delivering Biblical missions training in New South Wales and overseas.

In my late twenties, at one of these international training weeks, I met my husband, David Campbell who had been serving the poor in Kingston, Jamaica.  Two years later we married and I moved with him to the island of Jamaica where we lived a sun-kissed existence for seventeen years, our two gorgeous children growing up with mango stained chins in a tumbling tropical garden, as we served underprivileged children in the inner-city communities of Kingston with Fusion Jamaica.

Recently, after God began to faithfully establish an emerging local team for our ministry to continue in Jamaica, we felt the call to  uproot our family and move to the UK to continue ministry there, while supporting the ongoing work in Jamaica and elsewhere around the world.

I began writing at ‘Seeing Breathing Living: My Life as a Human Being’ in 2015. It is my small space where I share my personal journey through reflections, writings and poetry.

I also later began writing  The Long Walk in 2018 on my other site ‘livethelongwalk.com’. It explores the long walk Jesus took in search of all of us wandering human beings. These writings are seasonal and I release writing there during Lent, Advent and Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by. If you want to stay in touch hit the ‘follow’ button. I’d be honoured to have you join me here.

In His Grace,

Liz
