Frailty flailing in the breeze
leaning, green into the light,
saturating cells with life.
Flowers lean,
Lean into light.
Unfurling, stretching
Reaching, knowing,
Weather calm or gale blowing
nothing nourishes growing
Like leaning into Light.
Flowers lean because they must
Not just because they like the warmth,
not for fancy or for mirth
But for survival in the earth
Lean into light.
Light is nourishment, light is health,
light is wholeness in our cells.
Light, not incidental to life,
but the essence of it.
Lean into light.
‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.’
John 1:5
Love this, especially the symbol of the cross in the window frame. And, yes, those of us who belong to Jesus must lean toward the true Light.
